Ten Years of Horse Shows at Tryon International

Hunter/Jumper Series Highlights:

The Tryon Welcome Series presented by St. Luke’s Hospital will be hosted from March 21-April 14 and will offer four weeks of A/Level 3 competition. The series will also feature Easter Brunch and Tryon Block House Steeplechase events. Tryon Welcome 2 will run Wednesday through Saturday to accommodate Easter Sunday. The Tryon Spring Series presented by Main Street Insurance features six weeks of national and international competition from May 1-June 9, beginning with three weeks of national levels before adding CSI 2* and CSI 3* jumpers to the latter half of the series. The Tryon Spring Series will also mark the return of Saturday Night Lights presented by Tryon Horse & Home, with more details to follow. Tryon Spring 6/Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Charity Horse Show, hosted June 5-9, will be the 96th edition of this USEF Heritage Horse Show and will feature Trip of the Day, perpetual trophies, special events and more. The Tryon Summer Series presented by The Farm House will once again kick off with Tryon Summer 2 on June 19, continuing five weeks through July 21. The series features four weeks of CSI 2* and CSI 3* competition, and Tryon Summer 3 is slated to host the annual Pony Spectacular with a Pony Hunter Classic, costume parade and stall decorating contests. Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Charity II competition will take place at Tryon Summer 4.

The Tryon Fall Series will again feature eight weeks of competition from September through mid-November and more details will be announced as soon as possible.

Tryon Western Adventures: Hit the trails with us! Available Thursdays-Saturdays year-round by reservation, Tryon Western Adventures presented by SCF Western has a carefully curated selection of horses and trail routes to accommodate participants of all levels, from first-time riders to avid trail blazers. Explore Tryon International’s 1,600 acres on an immersive trail ride, weaving through the breathtaking foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Amenities For You: 

Fitness Wide Open: Located on the first floor of the International Pavilion with discounts available to competitors, Fitness Wide Open provides full gym amenities for athletes of all kinds. Join yoga, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, sculpt and Crossfit classes or work out on your own time with open gym access. Pickleball courts, personal training, Peloton rentals, as well as day and week passes are available. 

Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club: It’s more than 18 holes of golf; it is an experience you will not soon forget. The views, the George Cobb design, and the pristine conditions will give you four hours of solid enjoyment. Open to the public with memberships available. Frequent tournaments and events, with an onsite restaurant and rentals available!

Pool Access: From Memorial Day to Labor Day, competitors can enjoy access to the conveniently located pool, equipped with lounge chairs, covered seating, kids areas, locker rooms and restrooms, as well as poolside dining from Mulligans restaurant. Day passes and seasonal memberships are available! 

Cleghorn Gun Club: The Sporting Clays course at Cleghorn Gun Club was designed and outfitted by nationally renowned course designers, Rick Hemmingway and Heyward Cunningham. The course consists of 15 stations with four traps per station with target trajectories strategically positioned for every shooter level. The design and layout of the course has beautifully incorporated the topographic character and natural flow of the surrounding land. Golf carts, rental guns, and ammo are available in the Pro Shop, and lessons and memberships are available.

Lodging & Welcome Center: Open to all competitors and lodging guests, the RV Park Recreation Center includes coin laundry facilities, guest showers in the new Lodging & Welcome Center at the front entrance to Tryon International.
